The holder of this license may perform only that work for the installation, repair, replacement, alteration, and maintenance of gas piping systems and approved gas appliances, gas utilization equipment and accessories for use with LP gas supplied by gas containers and/or natural gas. Connecticut does not have reciprocity agreements for Gas Contractor Licensing

Connecticut does not have Continuing Education requirements for Gas Contractors

The exam is administered by PSI. It consists of 50 questions, multiple choice, with a 2 hr time limit. The exam is open book and requires a 70% to pass.

Subject areas include: Natural Gas Piping and Supply,LP Gas Piping and Supply,Chimneys, Flues and Vents, Appliance Installation, Sizing and Layout, Testing, Purging and Inspection , and Combustion Air

The examination may also contain questions based on trade knowledge or general industry practices. Except for Code books, you can base your answers on later editions of references as they become available

American Contractors does not offer a seminar in the Connecticut area. We do, however, carry the approved reference material for your state exam as well as the Business & Project Management exam.
